Details of Penny Rumble’s forthcoming exhibition and book launch

Blacks of Chapel Street are delighted to be hosting an exciting new Art Exhibition and Book Launch. The renowned local artist, Penny Rumble, will exhibit her stunning new artwork collection at a preview on Friday 24th of February. As an extra bonus, the event will coincide with the launch of her new book ‘Sixteen’.

Paintings can be viewed and purchased at Blacks of Chapel Street. The full exhibition runs from Saturday 25th February to Saturday 28th March 2017.

To help celebrate Penny’s work there will be a special dinner arranged for the night of the Preview (24th February). The menu for the evening is as follows:

2 Courses for £18 – Desserts can be added from our daily specials board for £5.25

Staters

Red Pepper & Goats Cheese Arancini

Served with cucumber raita and salad garnish

Jumbo Crevettes

Grilled with a chilli, lime and garlic butter served with our own fresh bread and salad garnish

Pork Cheeks

Slow cooked and glazed with a Malaysian BBQ sauce set on Asian slaw & toasted sesame seeds

 

Mains

Local Hake Loin

Pan roasted and served with artichoke gratin, lemon dressed rocket and house-made olive tapenade

Confit of Lamb Shoulder

Served with a rosemary fondant potato, sauteed mustard greens and a rich butternut jus

Moroccan Chickpea & Beetroot Stew

With traditional spices, apricot and dates then finished with fresh kale and basil oil
