Come and celebrate New Year’s Eve at Blacks of Chapel Street

 

This year we have put together a mouth-watering 7-course taster menu (including canapes) which celebrates the best of our local produce and has been expertly paired with wine for each course.

Blacks Jukebox: each person reserving a table will be invited to provide us with several of their favourite tracks.  Once dinner is over, we will move back the tables and dance our way to midnight …. if you wish!

Prize Balloons for everyone – wait and see 🙂

  • Bubbles and canapes at 7 pm
  • Dinner at 7.45 pm
  • Complimentary glass of bubbles as the clock strikes midnight

Starter

K’Naia Verdejo 125ml

Pork shoulder, apple & sage bonbon, apple gel, crispy sage leaves and cider jus

OR

Wild Mushroom, Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli, served on a spiced butternut velouté and basil oil (V)

Fish

Les Volcans Chardonnay (Unoaked) 125ml

Crab & Lemon Bubble and Squeak with Smoked Hake soft poached quail’s egg and lemon gel

OR

Sun blushed Tomato and olive Tapenade bruschetta, tomato and basil salsa, balsamic reduction (V)

Sorbet

Contero Brachetto d’Accqui 75ml

Lychee and Champagne

Main

Chateau Milon Grand Cru St Emillion 125ml

Local venison with a hazelnut and spinach crust, served with juniper dauphinoise, braised cabbage, bacon and Helford blue, spinach puree and a ruby port jus

OR

Roasted vegetable terrine, juniper dauphinoise, braised cabbage, mushroom and Helford blue with a spinach puree and a ruby port reduction (V)

A Heavenly Trio of Dessert

Valdivieso Eclat Botrytis Semillon 75ml

Coffee and Walnut Pavlova, Dark Chocolate Mousse with honeycomb and a boozy Black Forest Cheesecake

Cheese

Krohn LBV port 75ml

Baked Cornish camembert served with a selection of homemade breads and pickled vegetables
